Seth Rollins pitched a complete game victory as Brotherhood defeated Legendary 5-2 to even up the three-game series. Rollins scattered 8 hits and Brotherhood used timely hitting to back Rollins.
Jimmy Uso doubled leading off the bottom of the first inning and Kofi Kingston hit a triple to drive him in. The Big Show then hit a sacrifice fly to give Brotherhood the early 2-0 lead. Booker T had a RBI triple cutting the lead in half. But was stranded at third to end the fifth inning. In the top of the sixth inning Andre the Giant hit a solo HR to tie the game. In the bottom of the sixth inning, John Cena hit a sacrifice fly and AJ Styles had an RBI double to give Brotherhood the lead for good. Jeff Hardy’s RBI groundout gave Rollins an insurance run as we headed to the ninth inning.
Brett Hart started for Legendary and gave up four runs to Brotherhood. Billy Gunn finished off the sixth inning and the rest of the game allowing one run in two and two-thirds innings.
Titus O’Neill praised Rollins’s effort. “Seth was tremendous today and we were able to manufacture runs. We still need to be better offensively.”
Tomorrow’s starters are Chris Jericho (1-1 ) against Robert Roode (1-1 ).
