RIGOBERTO SANCHEZ IS DOMINANT IN 3-1 WONDERBOY WIN

Rigo Sanchez was absolutely brilliant pitching a complete game victory over Legendary 3-1.  Rigo gave up 8 hits and did not issue a walk in retiring 14 of the last 15 batters he faced.  Roddy Piper was great too but tired in the eighth inning allowing Wonderboy to break the 1-1 tie.

In the top of the fifth inning, The Undertaker hit a double and was driven in by Christian’s double.  In the bottom of the inning, Pat Corning hit a triple and scored on Tanner Boyle’s single.  This game was mirroring each other every step of the way.  Not only did both teams score in the fifth inning but the eight and ninth place hitters did the damage.

After Rigo cruised by the eight inning Piper gave up a leadoff single to Juan Primo who stole second base.  Crash Davis followed with a two-run HR to give Wonderboy a 3-1 lead.  Roy Hobbs then hit a double chasing Roddy Piper.  Kevin Nash came in relief and stranded the runner second keeping the game 3-1.  Rigo made quick work of Legendary in the ninth for the complete game victory.

“Rigo was so dominant today.  It’s the best I have ever seen him pitch.  It was good to see Crash get such a big hit,” said Pop Fisher.

Michael Hayes had this to say, “Piper was good today and he deserved better.  Sometimes you face a pitcher who was just on like Sanchez was today.  We need to get the win tomorrow.”

Tomorrow’s game has the Rock(2-0) pitching against Mike McGrevy(1-1)
