College Football Plays Of The Day Saturday 10-18

My College Football plays of the day for Saturday October 18th.  I like 4 games with 2 favorites and 2 live dogs.

I like Ohio State -22 over Rutgers.  Ok so this is an anti Rutgers pick.  I think the program is garbage and they do not belong in the Big Ten.  They beat a Michigan team that is in disarray and not a Vintage Wolverine team.  They even rushed the field after beating a team that is not good.  This is their first road game in the Big Ten and it is at the Horseshoe against a Buckeye squad that would be in the top ten if their starting QB didn’t go down before the season started.  This is Ohio State and Urban Meyer is the head coach so you know he can recruit.  Now that the back QB has enough reps and is in a rhythm look for them to roll this over matched Rutgers team.

Take Baylor – 8 at West Virginia.  The mountaineers don’t play defense.  So if this game becomes a shootout I will take Bryce Petty and the Bears.  Baylor had a very emotional win last week coming back from 21 down at home against TCU so that concerns me a little bit.  Baylor knows they need to go undefeated to be in the mix for the NCAA playoffs.  Baylor does not play great defense either but Petty will be the difference in this game.

Take Oklahoma State plus the 10 at TCU.  TCU lost a heartbreaker last week and probably destroyed their playoff hopes in the process.  The fact that it was also against an in state rival makes it all the more painful.  Look for TCO to carry a hangover from that game and Ok State at least covers the 10 points or even wins out right.

Lastly I don’t know why Wyoming is getting points at home but take the 2.5 because Wyoming is winning this game outright against San Jose State.  Wyoming at 3-3 lost 3 road games to Oregon, Michigan State and Hawaii.  I know their wins weren’t impressive both in opponent and margin of victory but San Jose State’s resume is not impressive either.
